Spanish food

Gandia offers typical dishes made with the best products of the region. Valencia is not just famous for its oranges that are exported all over the world. Also rice is cultivated at Valencia´s paddy-fields of Albufera (Valencia) and vegetables are growing all over the Valencian country.

A typical Spanish dish is "la paella". This well known rice dish can be cooked in different ways. At the coast the most known are: Paella with meat, with fish or mixed.

La fideuá is similar to paella. (Some people call it noodle paella) This noodle dish with fish was invented in Gandia. A legend tells that fishermen forgot the rice for cooking paella when they went to sea. They just had noodles, so they decided to do a noodle paella.
